Stone Rock Gorge (Kicikla)

The Kőszikla Gorge, locally known as “Kicikla”, located on the outskirts of the settlement, is an impressive natural formation. A stream flows through the southwest-northeast-oriented gorge, and its steep rock walls and rich flora provide a special experience for hikers. The entrance to the gorge is at the end of Arany János Street, from where the hiking trail starts.

Energy park

The Energy Park, located around the Árpád Spring, has special earth radiation points that can have a positive effect on the well-being of visitors. The park has resting areas and information boards to help you recharge and find your bearings.

Saint Urban Lookout

The Saint Orbán Lookout Tower, located on the nearby Magyarszerdahely vineyard hill, was built in 2012 and offers a magnificent panorama of the surrounding hills and valleys. There is also a small chapel near the lookout tower, which further adds to the charm of the place.

Zalakaros nature trails

Several nature trails await nature lovers in Zalakaros, located about 6 km away:

Égerösvény nature trail: A nature trail created as part of the Thermal Lake and Eco-Coast project, which introduces the wildlife of the surrounding forest.

Csiga-túra nature trail: A 1152-meter-long trail located in the Zalakaros Park Forest, which introduces visitors to the local flora and fauna with information boards.

Lake Palini

This is a 24-hectare fishing lake located in the Palin settlement near Nagykanizsa. The former fish pond was restored in 2013 and was initially used for private sport fishing. Since 2018, it has also been welcoming guest anglers, who can enjoy excellent fishing experiences thanks to the lake’s rich fish stock.

  • Kápolnapuszta Buffalo Reserve: Located near Zalakomar, it presents buffaloes as well as other native Hungarian domestic animals. kornyeke.hu

  • Zalakaros Bath: A favorite bath for families for generations, where there are thousands of experiences for small children, grandchildren, parents and grandparents. kornyeke.hu

  • Thúry György Museum: Located in Nagykanizsa, it presents the history and ethnography of the region with its rich collection. kornyeke.hu

The area is rich in hiking trails, cycling and walking opportunities, so everyone can find the most suitable program for them.
